THE PRACTICE

Five protocols for building a career without guilt

The Practice is a guided implementation workbook for women who are done performing, over-functioning, and earning less than their work is worth — and ready to build the professional infrastructure that stops it.

You move through five protocols in a set order. Each one builds the skill required for the next.

A professional implementation workbook

A print-friendly workbook built for real careers — not a one-time reflection exercise.

Five sequential protocols

A complete structure for capacity, visibility, ambition, earning, and opportunity — built in order, customized to your career.

Worksheet Companion included

Extra copies of every worksheet page — print as many times as you need without reprinting the full workbook.

This isn't a workbook about mindset.

It's a manual for how you operate.

Most career resources ask you to think differently.
This one changes how you operate.

Not: "Think about a time you dimmed your visibility."
Instead, you audit every visibility commitment you carry — and run each one through four questions: Is this required or just assumed? What is it actually costing me? What is the real return? Does the return justify the cost right now? Most women discover they've been treating assumed visibility as required for years.

Not: "What would you ask for if you weren't afraid?"
Instead, you map your permitted ambition — what guilt allows you to want — against your actual ambition — what you want before the edit. Most women find the gap is specific and has been there for years. The Ambition Map names it without letting you round it back down.

Not: "Know your worth."
Instead, you identify the exact moment you apply the discount — before the conversation, before anyone asks — and build a receiving protocol that interrupts it before it's applied.

This is the difference between inspiration and infrastructure.

Five protocols. One sequence. Built for your career.

The Practice is designed to be completed in a specific order — because professional clarity is cumulative.

1. THE CAPACITY PROTOCOL — Protect your professional capacity

2. THE VISIBILITY PROTOCOL — Be seen without performing

3. THE AMBITION MAP — Name what you actually want

4. THE EARNING MAP — Receive what your work is worth

5. THE OPPORTUNITY FILTER — Choose from alignment, not guilt

By the end, you won't just understand these protocols — you'll have your professional versions built, written, and ready to use.

What professional guilt patterns does this address?

✓ Capacity guilt — "I should be able to handle all of this." You say yes before you've checked whether you have what it actually requires. The Capacity Protocol gives you a pause sequence and a decision rule that interrupts the guilt-driven yes before it becomes a commitment you regret.

✓ Visibility guilt — "I should be more visible." You toggle between performing everywhere and withdrawing completely. The Visibility Protocol teaches you to distinguish required visibility from assumed visibility — and stop spending capacity on the second kind.

✓ Ambition guilt — "I should be grateful for what I have." Guilt has been editing what you want before you say it out loud — scaling it down, borrowing someone else's version, deferring it until conditions that will never be met. The Ambition Map helps you recover what was there before the edit.

✓ Earning guilt — "I don't want to seem greedy." You know what your work is worth. Something contracts before you say the number. The Earning Map names that contraction — the Discount Function — and gives you the protocol to receive without reducing before anyone asks you to.

✓ Opportunity guilt — "I should say yes to this." A good opportunity that isn't yours still costs capacity. The Opportunity Filter runs every yes through five questions. All five must clear. The ones that don't are someone else's yes, not yours.

How it works

You move through five protocols in order. Each protocol builds on the last — skip ahead and the later tools won't hold.

Each protocol ends with a closing note that connects what you just built to the work ahead.

Protocol 1: Capacity Protocol
Recognize when you're past sustainable capacity — and stop saying yes before you've checked.

Protocol 2: Visibility Protocol
Audit where you're being seen, what it's costing, and whether the return justifies the expense.

Protocol 3: Ambition Map
Separate what you actually want from what guilt allowed you to want — and stop editing before you speak.

Protocol 4: Earning Map
Set your number, hold your number, and receive without discounting — before the conversation starts.

Protocol 5: Opportunity Filter
Run every opportunity through five questions. All five must clear. A good opportunity that isn't aligned is someone else's yes.
